COURSE INFORMATION

The LVT Fitting Course covers:
​
Sub floor preparation.
Moisture testing, damp proof membranes, moisture vapour suppressants, primers, smoothing compounds, adhesives & ply boarding.
LVT fitted straight and on a 45° with a border
Herringbone, including numerous scribing techniques specifically for the herringbone pattern.
Setting out guidance.
Guillotine demonstrations.
Scribing, bevelling & other LVT fitting techniques & methods.

The Parquet Herringbone Masterclass covers:
​
3"x12" herringbone with no border
3"x12" herringbone with a border, all cut on a guillotine
Full plank herringbone with and without a border.
​
The course will guarantee to:
Speed up fitting
Increase accuracy
Teach you to understand the herringbone pattern
Teach you how to cut scribing templates for any size Herringbone
Border work
Fitting to skirting boards, architraves, radiator pipes, toilets, curved showers, bullnose step and any other obstacles you may find on a job
Guillotine demos including hints and tips

LVT Design Floor Course​
The LVT Design Floor Course is designed for the more experienced fitter:
Understanding pattern repeats
Creating parquetry panels
Bespoke 3D & geometric design floors
Design borders
Guillotine demonstrations
Creating motifs

There is parking on site.
Complimentary tea, coffee & toast in the mornings before the courses start. You will be required to bring your own lunch & knee pads, all other tools & materials will be provided. However if you’d prefer, your own tools can be used.

Getting to MN floor training (postcode WV6 9HD) from the motorway you will leave the M54 at J2 and follow signs for Wolverhampton racecourse. We are just round the corner. If you have sat nav issues give us a call and we can direct you.
The nearest train station is Codsall but we recommend a taxi from Wolverhampton train station as Codsall is still a 20-25 minute walk.
